\ud83c\udff0 Nessebar<\/strong>: Located on a rocky peninsula on the Black Sea, the ancient city of Nessebar is over 3,000 years old. It was originally a Thracian settlement (Menebria). At the beginning of the 6th century BC, the city became a Greek colony. The ruins of the city, which mostly date from the Hellenistic period, include the acropolis, a temple of Apollo, an agora and a wall from the Thracian fortifications. Among other monuments, the Old Mitropolia Basilica and the fortress date from the Middle Ages, when it was one of the most important Byzantine cities on the west coast of the Black Sea. Also then, many medieval churches were built, fully or partially preserved, placed as if in an open-air museum, inviting us to visit it. The wooden houses built in the 19th century are typical of the Black Sea architecture of the period. A city full of vestiges, churches, ruins, temples and towers, included in the UNESCO heritage.<\/p>\n\ud83c\udff0We start on the way back home, with a short stop in the city of Varna.<\/p>\n
